Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of aboutspace, a hosted booking marketplace operated by [Company Name] ("we", "us"). By creating an account, you accept these Terms.

aboutspace lets hosts list buildings or single spaces, set availability and pricing, and accept reservations from guests. Communication between hosts and guests is delivered through the platform inbox and by email.

We work to keep the service available but make no uptime guarantee beyond reasonable commercial effort. Scheduled maintenance, security incidents, and dependencies on third parties (Stripe, AWS, mail providers) may cause temporary unavailability.

You are responsible for activity on your account, including bookings made or accepted under it. Keep credentials secure and enable two-factor authentication.

You must use a real email address to register, must be authorised to bind any organisation you represent, and must not be on a sanctions list that prevents us doing business with you.

Listings must accurately describe the space, its capacity, and any rules or restrictions. You may not list a space you have no legal right to rent out, or use aboutspace to host content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or constitutes harassment or discrimination.

Bookings, reviews, and messages may not be manipulated, faked, or used to send unsolicited bulk communication.

Host subscriptions are billed via Stripe. Pricing is published on our pricing page and may change for new signups; existing subscriptions retain their pricing until you switch plans.

New accounts get a 14-day free trial without a credit card. If you do not add a payment method by the end of the trial the account is set to read-only, and after 14 further days is suspended. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled.

Refunds are at our discretion and generally limited to billing errors. EU VAT is collected via Stripe Tax based on your billing address.

We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment, breach of these Terms, or use that creates significant risk to our service or other users. We will give reasonable notice where possible. On termination you remain responsible for amounts owed; your data is deleted within 60 days unless legal retention requires otherwise.

You can cancel at any time from the Stripe Customer Portal. Access continues until the end of the paid period.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is". Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue, missed bookings, or damage to property, where the law permits.

We may update these Terms; material changes are notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are resolved by the competent courts in the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections.
